Of course any car enthusiast would know it does not, it stands for Rally Sport, but this Pace-Car Camaro SS/RS definitely looks the part.

Car: Chevrolet Camaro SS/RS
Year: 1969
Where: Inverness, FL
When: 08/2018
This is definitely one of my favourite Camaros I have photographed. Not only is it a gorgeous looking car in fantastic condition, it is also at one of the top cruise ins I have attended. With 50s and 60s music playing in the historic downtown of Inverness, it makes everyone feel like they are back in the day when these cars were considered new.
The Dover white with Hugger-Orange Z/28 style stripes was only found on the Camaro Pace Cars. In '67 and '69, the Camaro was chosen to be the pace car for the Indy 500. In both years, two Camaros were special built to serve as the actual pace car for the race, one was a back-up. Chevrolet also produced replicas of the official pace cars for the public to buy.
