Promoting 50's truck and panel van class at Dragstalgia 2019...
Above Left: 1948 Ford F1 (I guess I can round 48 to 50..?), plus a surprising hint of some blue sky!
Above Right: 1953 Chevrolet Advance Design Pickup
Below: 1950 Chevrolet Panel Van
Whilst rummaging through the last few photos from Dragstalgia 2019, I came across these three beauties. All 50s (give or take a couple years), and all rocking the American old school looks.
With all of this rain and cold weather coming in for the British winter, I spent my evening reminiscing on the good times... the summer... when it was only trying to rain and car shows ploughed on despite of the grey clouds. Because hey, it was supposed to be summer right?!
These post WWII trucks are a fine example of what Chevy and Ford offered to the workmen after the tough times. Each of the trucks have been tastefully modified too, but all in different ways. The Ford F1 flaunting it's patina and originality, what you'd expect this old boy to look like if left untouched. Almost opposite to the biker look Chevy 1/2 Ton, which has all kinds of extras from stacks to stickers!
