It's not everyday you see these where I'm from. So I was obviously very excited when I saw a variant of my favourite car at a local car show.
In 1977 the Chevrolet Camaro had set a record, for the first time in its history, the Camaro outsold the Ford Mustang. The Camaro received a facelift in 1978, and Chevrolet had intentions of outselling the Mustang again. There were 5 different Camaros available in 78; ranging from an economical Sport Coupe to a beefy Z/28.
When the year 1978 ended, a new record was set with 272,631 Camaros sold. Buyers flocked about the showrooms way back then, and people still flock about these car today.
